Thanks to TV Guide, we have our first look from upcoming episode 3.16 titled “1912″. They spoke with Cassidy Freeman about her character Sage. Also, we are informed that this episode will air 3 weeks after next week’s episode “All My Children” on March 15th.
In the March 15 Vampire Diaries episode — a flashback to 1912 — Freeman plays Sage, a bloodsucker with ties to the Originals, as well as Ian Somerhalder‘s Damon. “She [is] really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it,” says Freeman, who says it “has been a dream to play a vampire” and that she was “jumping for joy” when she got the part. Sage will also resurface in modern-day Mystic Falls with a murky agenda. “She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself.”

Zap2it interviewed costume designer Leigh Leveret, and she shares some things about dressing for the ball.
“We do so many episodes fairly quickly and everyone has two to four changes an episode, so we have to have enough clothes for 22 episodes,” she says. “We do multiples because people are always getting stabbed or bitten. We buy the initial piece and go online to find multiples all over the country sometimes.”
An exception would be the clothes Elena, Caroline, Stefan and Damon wore to a ball Klaus hosted in an episode that aired Feb. 9. Leverett searched for the perfect Cinderella-like dresses for Elena and Caroline and found two that are truly special.
“We used ‘Beauty and the Beast’ as a reference to mix it up from the slinky evening wear you normally see on the show,” she says.

“The thing with Damon we’ve seen is that when he’s hurt, he lashes out. In a way, this is both the most cruel way he could’ve lashed out, but also shows a peculiar evolution in him as a character because rather than take it out on an innocent human in the middle of the road, he’s striking where it hurts the most.”

“Next episode, it takes place on a full moon. We’ll learn that, like most of the big, heavy-duty witch spells, there needs to be some sort of recurring celestial event or some recurring event attached to it.”

“For us, it’s fun to explore that side of Klaus — seeing a romantic vulnerability there, because it is giving us a window into him a little bit. We certainly find Klaus to be irresistible on a lot of levels, so it’s going to be interesting to see how that moves forward.”

And here we are! Take a peek at what’s to come next week on All My Children (3×15).

Matt Davis was on The VRO last night. Head on over to The VRO and enjoy the interview!

Paul Wesley and his wife, actress Torrey DeVitto, can start carpooling to work.
The actress, who has a recurring role on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, has been tapped to recur on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
DeVitto, who married Wesley in April, will play Mary, an intelligent young doctor intrigued by Alaric’s (Matt Davis) powers of recovery on the CW’s vampire drama. She’ll appear in Episodes 310 and 311 with a strong likelihood to continue on afterward.

Disfunkshion Magazine recently interviewed the lovely Candice Accola. She answered questions about how she got her start in acting, what it’s like working on The Vampire Diaries, and her involvement with charitable causes. She also talked a little bit about her character, on the question of whether or not there are any similarities between herself and Caroline Forbes.
Can you relate to your character in the Vampire Diaries in any way?
Candice: I can definitely relate! My character recently discovers her super natural powers. Now while I can’t relate directly in that sense, I am also a young woman still discovering myself at the same time.

When Mandi Bierly spoke to Julie Plec yesterday about the midseason finale, she got some extra details on what fans can expect when Bonnie’s mom, Abby Bennett (Persia White), makes her debut in episode 12, which Plec said she’s currently writing. “In our show, we’ve met a series of Bennett witches. Obviously it is something that seems to have been passed down from generation to generation,” she says. “The lineage of these witches, with Grams and Emily Bennett, has been very important to our show, and Bonnie’s heritage has been very important to the mythology. So it’s about time that we ask ourselves who her mother is, and what her mother might be capable of as a witch or not a witch, and where the hell she is.” Also juicy? We will find out exactly what’s been keeping Mama away from Mystic Falls and her daughter.
