Nina moved to Canada at the age of two and has lived in Toronto, Ontario since. From a very young age she showed great enthusiasm and talent for the arts: Dance, Gymnastics, Theatre, Music, Visual arts, and Acting! Modeling jobs led to commercials, which then turned into film auditions. Shortly after, she booked roles in feature films “Fugitive Pieces”, “Away From Her” and the popular television series “Degrassi: The Next Generation” on CTV.
Nina loves to travel and has often visited Europe both for pleasure, as well as competing internationally representing Canada in Aesthetic gymnastics. She enjoys playing volleyball, soccer, swimming, rock climbing, wake boarding, snowboarding, and horse back riding to name a few.

The son of a massage therapist and a building contractor, Somerhalder was born and raised in the small southern town of Covington, LA. Boating, swimming, fishing and training horses filled much of his recreational time growing up, as did the school drama club and performing with the local theater group. With his mother’s encouragement, at age 10 he began a modeling career that took him to New York each summer. By junior high, he opted to put modeling on the back burner and focus more on sports and school. A few years later, when the opportunity to model in Europe arose, Somerhalder grabbed it, embarking on an enriching path of work, travel and study that took him to cities including Paris, Milan and London. At 17, he began studying acting in New York, and by 19 had committed himself to the craft, working with preeminent acting coach William Esper. His fate was sealed while working as an extra in a club scene in the feature film _Black & White(1999)_. A talent manager visiting a client on the set spotted Somerhalder in a crowd scene of 400 and immediately signed him for representation. Graham was born in Geneva, Switzerland and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her father, Joseph, is Liberian, and her mother, Natasha, is Jewish of half Russian and half Polish ancestry.Graham was born in Geneva, while her father was working as a journalist for the United Nations. Graham’s father was a music executive and the godfather of two of Quincy Jones’ children, while her grandfather was a UN Ambassador, serving for 40 years in The Netherlands, Sweden, Romania, and Kenya.

Ewell was born in Long Beach, California and raised in Seal Beach. She studied dance, singing, and acting at the Orange County Song & Dance Company in Westminster. Ewell was spotted by a talent agent while taking an acting class around 1999, and asked to go on an audition. She graduated from Los Alamitos High School in 2003.
Ewell first appeared on the television series Freaks and Geeks in 2000, playing Maureen Sampson in the episode “Carded and Discarded”, directed by Judd Apatow. Ewell co-starred in The CW television series The Vampire Diaries for the first seven episodes in 2009. Ewell was killed off the show when her character was staked in the heart by Stefan (Paul Wesley) in order to save Elena (Nina Dobrev) in the Halloween-themed episode “Haunted”. Ewell hinted in November 2009 that she was still under contract for the role and might return to the show. Series creator Kevin Williamson however stated that there were no plans to bring her back. Canning was born in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Wayne and Daphne Canning, and was raised in Sherwood Park, near Edmonton, Alberta. She competed as a figure skater in her childhood and early adolescent years, and became interested in theatre as a student at F.R. Haythorne Junior High. Canning starred in several stage productions while attending Bev Facey Community High School, and acted in shows at her hometown stage at Festival Place.
Canning made her professional acting debut in George Orwell’s 1984 at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton at the age of 18. She began studying general arts at the University of Alberta, and considered going into journalism. Still interested in performing, Canning left university and moved to Vancouver at 19, to pursue a career in acting. She graduated from a year-long acting program at the Vancouver Film School.
Canning found an agent and began acting in television series and in TV films produced in Vancouver. She worked in a restaurant and would take time off to film. Her first role was playing Nicky Hilton in Paparazzi Princess: The Paris Hilton Story in 2008. Canning filmed a television pilot for The CW series The Vampire Diaries. She then starred in the feature film Black Field, directed by Danishka Esterhazy, a gothic 19th Century period piece. Canning shot the drama in May 2009 near Tyndall, Manitoba, Canada for close to 20 days. She played Maggie McGregor, the older of two Scottish sisters struggling take make their way on the Canadian Prairies. The film premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2009. Three weeks after filming Black Field, Canning got the news that The Vampire Diaries had been picked up as a television series.
Canning co-starred on The Vampire Diaries as Jenna Sommers, the aunt and guardian of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and her younger brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). Canning was the same age, or younger, than her fellow cast members who played high school students. Makeup artists and the wardrobe team worked to make her look older than she usually did.Canning also downplayed her Canadian accent for the role. Her character’s love interest, Alaric, was played by Matthew Davis.
Canning appeared on the second season of The Vampire Diaries. Her character was killed in the episode, “The Sun Also Rises”. As of 2011, Canning was working on a short film noir, and shooting a Lifetime Network film in Vancouver, Hunt for the I-5 Killer. She is also interested in writing and directing.
